Territory Sales Representative

Job purpose

The Territory Sales Representative is responsible for traveling and expanding commercial customer base around the main
areas of Timmins/ Porcupine, New Liskeard, Cochrane, Kapuskasing, Hearst and Wawa ON. In this role you will oversee new
account development and sales goal achievement. This role reports to the Sales Manager.

Duties and responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Sales Manager to develop and execute sales plans that meet monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities and deliver tailored solutions to meet customer needs, convert existing fuel
    needs to propane systems,
  •  Maintain and develop existing relationships with all energy customers including Indigenous communities in the
    northern Ontario region described above working with internal and external teams to ensure customer needs are
    met
  •  Prepares and confidently presents persuasive sales proposals, including pricing and product/service terms, to key
    decision-makers, while leveraging our existing relationships to key decision-makers.
  • Manage a CRM platform including, leads, opportunities, key contacts, and contract renewals.
  • Serve as the primary customer contact, building strong relationships and managing the sales cycle.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and provide regular sales progress reports.
  • Resolve issues promptly, involving experts and decision-makers as needed.
  • Represent Sarjeant Propane professionally within the community and industry, including attending celebrations,
    fundraisers, and volunteer engagements
  • Bring awareness to Sarjeant’s programs, bursaries, and community benefits with both Council and the community
    members
  • Perform other related duties as assigne

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of sales experience with a proven track record
  •  Ability to travel 3-6 nights per month
  • Exceptional customer service and relationship management skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong business acumen and analytical abilities
  • Experience selling to Indigenous communities is an asset
  • Leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office; CRM web platform experience is a plus
  • Industry knowledge is an asset
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record

  • $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
  • Commission $0-$15K average
